Download Driver Canon CanoScan LiDE120

Canon CanoScan LiDE120 Driver DownloadAfter my very aged old Canon scanner had given up its spirit, a new acquisition was necessary. All I need is a classic flatbed scanner that scans documents and photos in good quality and with a few options quickly and reliably. No more and no less. So I was looking for a cheap scanner below 100, - and decided first for one of Epson. Despite being confirmed that it is compatible with the current Windows 10/64-Creator version, it was NOT compatible with it (installation program crash during installation despite repeated attempts to install the latest driver).

In addition, its processing was very cheap: the lid was easy from the anchorage, etc. So the device went back. In the second attempt I decided (despite some comments that there are problems under Window 10 / 64) then again for a Canon model. And behold, everything is fine. First, good and reasonably good workmanship for the price. The lid holds. Second: no problems with the installation, the driver from the CD is running. Update to the latest Canon CanoScan LiDE120 driver and no problem. I like the software ScanGear, because it offers many useful options and really gets everything out of the scanner.

It also scans quite fast, the sound is bearable. The only point of criticism: due to the stricter write permissions of Windows10 in certain folders, the default directories in ScanGear must be changed, since ScanGear is blocked here by Windows when trying to write (these are certain subdirectories that were previously unprotected). The developers of the software should actually know that. The solution is very simple: Create your own new directory z. For example, under / Images or / Documents and create all default directories in ScanGear accordingly. Then everything works fine! To change the write permissions of the protected directories as admin has brought me NOTHING.

So if you encounter similar problems that after successful installation when scanning the software throws an error message: do not despair, change the settings in the settings, then it funzt. 1 star deduction only because of the writing rights problem (because the error message does not help because, you have to find out for yourself, synonymous no help on the website of Canon). This drawback is unattractive, but solvable and I think anyway only users who have the latest Win10 / 64 version. I was able to scan several documents successfully afterwards, I am completely satisfied and there are no bluescreens after the reboot (as others write here) or other crashes.
