Epson Workforce WF-2660DWF Driver Download. After the 2014 Epson range dedicated to SOHO, the Workforce WF-2660DWF is a printer 4-in-1 that embeds all that is in the area (Wi-Fi, connected services, NFC and touch screen). On paper, it has everything a full printer. If one is looking better at Epson, it will turn to machines in the Workforce Pro series. If, however, the NFC and touch do not interest you, the WF-2650dw be more appropriate. The first thing that strikes us with this printer, it is the quality of its finish. Entirely in black plastic, WF-2660dwf does not shine by its build quality. Nothing seems really supportive, we do not really feel 170 € requested by Epson in exchange for its high-end model. The paper tray that offers the correct capacity (150 sheets A4) appears quite very ergonomic and confirms the first impression. The touch screen has an intuitive display correct and that the use is comfortable. Greatly we appreciate the presence of an automatic document feeder and duplex. NFC, always practical, also allows to go from a sometimes painful phase of association of a mobile device to the machine. Lovers of wired networks will be satisfied with the presence of an Ethernet port, while we deplore still no card reader or a port for connecting a USB storage device (stick or hard drive).
The text printing is not a problem any more than the graphics. We can clearly distinguish the details, gradients are correct despite the presence of visible drops slightly. The flow rates are however disappointing. We found 15 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white and 9 ppm color. We are far from what is offered with his Brother MFC-J4620DW, reaching respectively 21 and 16 ppm. Only the duplex is faster at Epson, with 8 ppm against 6 ppm at Brother. Printing on photo paper makes the correct colors. The dE94 - difference between the actual colors and the colors recorded should be as close to zero - here is 6.7, which is just below the average of 7, measured on the inkjet printers. Unfortunately, color fidelity is not everything and the drops are very visible, which produces a noisy picture effect. The picture is definitely not the highlight of this WF-2660DWF because its rates are also quite slow. It takes 1 min 22 s to print a 10 x 15 and 3 min 21 s for an A4. Again, Brother does better with J4620DW in respectively 25 s and 2 min 23 s.

Copying is not one of the fastest, but still acceptable in terms of throughput, with 11 s waiting for the reproduction of a document in black and white. The color is less efficient with 26 s to see a "clone" of our document appear. Note the quotation marks because no miracle, quality is degraded to the exit. The scanner provides the correct time to scan to the computer: 10 s for a document and 13 s for a photo 10 x 15. On these points, the Epson is doing about as well as Brother. If in terms of consumption Epson Brother rivals with measures 1 W in standby and 15 W for a photo printing, the first shows noisier. Indeed, we identified 53 dB (A) in operation for 2660dwf, against only 47 dB (A) for J4620dw. A nice difference anyway. With 4 separate cartridges, this new series Workforce not particularly conspicuous by its cost per page. Indeed, the WF-2660DWF returns to 13.8 cents per page, well above the average we had calculated on 49 models and was 9.3 centimes. Too bad, considering that the Workforce Pro Series excels in this area.
In terms of responsiveness, the Epson Workforce WF-2660DWF is in the nails with a first page that comes after 11 s. From sleep and ignition are satisfactory, with respectively 14 and 22 s to see a print. On paper, this Epson Workforce WF-2660DWF is a well-equipped machine, but the paper to practice, there is a chasm. For a machine dedicated to small businesses, and therefore relatively expensive, we may be disappointed. A bit more expensive, certainly, the Brother MFC-J4620DW will be much appreciated.
