Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD Notebook Driver Download
Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD Driver Download. The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD is a high quality laptop. The PC boots up very quickly thanks to the SSD hard drive. The 8GB RAM is therefore completely sufficient. If you prefer PC games, you better buy the 16 GB racing machine. It's all a question of use and I think it's stupid that there is no DVD drive. I got an external USB 3 drive. Another minus point is that the laptop is very awkward to open. Conclusion of the assessment: I would buy the laptop again at any time, despite the small negatives. Have fun with the purchase decision! The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD is really very light for a 15 'nootebook. I had a comparable vaio a while ago, which was A very stylish device in itself, but unfortunately with a few striking flaws. I didn't notice anything of the fan problem that has already been described, but there were quiet rattling noises under the lightest load (scrolling). I can't tell whether it's the coil whine that is also written on, it sounds a bit like a SATA hard drive.
Yes, the device is susceptible to fingerprints, but you know that beforehand and was not decisive for me.
Basically positive for me:
+ setting of the keyboard lighting
+ screen itself (even if only full HD)
- sharp edges (I thought that wouldn't bother me, unfortunately it does)
- rattling noises
- extremely heavy power supply, which unfortunately cancels the weight advantage
- position of the off button, easy to press accidentally (often with Asus, I knew beforehand, you should still consider)
- crashes (already 2 in just one week )
- Price-performance ratio
- Screen at minimum brightness unfortunately still quite bright
- Very loud touchpad
Unfortunately for me the Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD negative aspects predominate and the device is declining. I would have forgiven a lot, but the decisive factors are the crashes and the noise problem. I find that unacceptable with a laptop in this price range and with the equipment (i5, 8GB RAM, only Full HD, so where else does the money go?). I will probably have to take a closer look at the XPS 15 from Dell
